Call for Contributions on the Life of Cities
You are invited to attend and contribute to the Ecocity World Summit 2017 to be held in Melbourne from 12-14 July 2017.
The Summit program will include a strong focus on the future challenges facing global cities, including a major theme concerning how do we achieve culturally vibrant cities. Discussions will be informed by insights from our principal speaker, former US Vice President Al Gore, along with keynote presentations from a wide range of other leading climate and cities researchers, policy-makers and practitioners.
Ecocity 2017 is interested in submissions focusing on six major themes:
· Culturally vibrant cities
· Climate and energy transformations
· Food and water security
· Smart cities for people
· Healthy and caring cities
· Governance, infrastructure and finance
We strongly encourage scholars in Cultural Studies to consider submitting a proposal to either the academic or practitioner streams of the Summit.
Closing date for abstract submission is Friday 17 February 2017
